Peninsula Perk Points
What are Peninsula Perks? Peninsula Perks are points earned for having various products and services with the Credit Union. There are 4 different status levels depending on the products and services that are utilized within your account.
Deckhand: 0-200 points
- Free phone transfers, Free E-statements, Free Starter Checks, Etc
First Mate: 201-425 points
- $2 off replacement debit card fee, $2 off Domestic wire transfer fee, and $2 off skip payment fee.
Captain: 426-650 points
- Free money order & cashier checks.
- $3 off replacement debit card fee
- $3 off domestic wire transfer fee
- $3 off skip payment fee
Admiral: 651 and up
- Free replacement debit card.
- Free money order & cashier’s check
- $5 off domestic wire transfer
- $5 off skip payment fee
How do you view what you are earning points for?
- PFCU Mobile App: After signing in select, the “more” option in the bottom right corner, then select Peninsula Perks at the top left corner.
- PFCU Online Banking: After signing in under the member service tab, select peninsula perk points.
- From here you can see how many points are being earned and a breakdown of where points are being earned and how to get more points. For example, having a CD, IRA, money market, mortgage, eAlerts, having a credit card and more!
- You are also able to view rewards history by month.
How do you redeem peninsula perks points?
- There are 2 ways to redeem peninsula perk points, either through the PFCU online banking there is a form to submit (not available through PFCU mobile app at this time) or you can call the Credit Union and speak to someone about redeeming points.
Let's take a look at an example:
John Member has an account with PFCU, in that account he has a credit card (earning him 100 points), he uses online banking (75 points), he is enrolled for E-statements (100 points), he uses the ATM/ITM (75 points), he is enrolled in E-notices (25 points) and E-alerts (25 points).
This brings John's monthly earnings to 400 points, putting him at First Mate status.
